1. 鑄件后處理 (post treatment of casting) [ 鑄件 ] 對清理后的鑄件進行熱處理﹑整形﹑防銹處理和粗加工的過程。鑄件后處理是鑄造生產的最后一道工序。

2. 鑄件清理 (cleaning of casting) [ 鑄件 ] 將鑄件從鑄型中取出﹐清除掉本體以外的多余部分﹐并打磨精整鑄件內外表面的過程。主要工作有清除型芯和芯鐵。

3. 鑄造有色合金 (cast non ferrous alloy) [ 鑄造合金 ] 用以澆注鑄件的有色合金(見有色金屬)﹐是鑄造合金中的一類。主要有鑄造銅合金﹑鑄造鋁合金﹑鑄造鎂合金等。

4. 澆注系統 (gating system) [ 鑄型 ] 為將液態金屬引入鑄型型腔而在鑄型內開設的信道。包括﹕澆口杯，直澆道，橫澆道，內澆道。

5. 模樣 (pattern) [ 鑄型 ] 仿真鑄件形狀形成鑄型型腔的工藝裝備或易耗件。為保證形成符合要求的型腔﹐模樣應具有足夠的強度﹑剛度。

6. 冒口 (riser) [ 鑄型 ] 為避免鑄件出現缺陷而附加在鑄件上方或側面的補充部分。在鑄型中﹐冒口的型腔是存貯液態金屬的容器。

7. 芯盒 (core box) [ 鑄型 ] 將芯砂制成型芯的工藝裝備。可由木材﹑塑料﹑金屬或其它材料制成。

8. 芯砂 (core sand) [ 造型材料 ] 鑄造生產中用于制造型芯的材料﹐一般由鑄造砂﹑型砂黏結劑和輔加物等造型材料按一定的比例混合而成

9. 型砂 (molding sand) [ 造型材料 ] 在砂型鑄造中用來造型的材料。型砂一般由鑄造砂﹑型砂黏結劑和輔加物等造型材料按一定的比例混合而成。

10. 型砂粘結劑 (molding sand binder) [ 造型材料 ] 將松散的鑄造砂粘結在一起使之成為型砂或芯砂的造型材料。

11. 再生砂 (reclaimed sand) [ 造型材料 ] 鑄造生產中經過處理基本上恢復了使用性能可以回用的舊砂。

12. 鑄造砂 (foundry sand) [ 造型材料 ] 鑄造生產中用來配制型砂和芯砂的一種造型材料。

13. 混砂機 (sand mixer) [ 鑄造設備 ] 用于混制型砂或芯砂的鑄造設備。混砂機一般具有下列功能﹕將舊砂﹑新砂﹑型砂黏結劑和輔料混合均勻。

14. 落砂機 (shakeout machine) [ 鑄造設備 ] 利用振動和沖擊(見機械振動)使鑄型中的型砂和鑄件分離的鑄造設備。落砂機的振動源分為機械﹑電磁和氣動。

15. 拋丸機 (shot blasting machine) [ 鑄造設備 ] 利用拋丸器拋出的高速彈丸清理或強化鑄件表面的鑄造設備。拋丸機能同時對鑄件進行落砂﹑除芯和清理。

16. 造芯機 (core making machine) [ 鑄造設備 ] 用于制造型芯的鑄造設備。根據制芯時實砂方法的不同﹐造芯機可分為震擊式制芯機﹑擠芯機和射芯機等。

17. 造型機 (molding machine) [ 鑄造設備 ] 用于制造砂型的鑄造設備。它的主要功能是﹕填砂﹐將松散的型砂填入砂箱中﹔緊實型砂。
